20 Degrees Colder Watercooling with Cold Mountain Creek Water - Custom Watercooled PC Build
Just playing Halo creek side when I had an idea. What if I take this submersible pump and drop it into this cold mountain creek. Follow my experiment and see water temps about 20° cooler pumped into the CPU waterblock. I show the different water and CPU temperatures of both closed loop watercooling and open loop creek cooling. The biggest benefit was water temps immediately dropped back to creek temp after a stress test because I was not circulating the same thermal mass from the closed loop watercooling setup.
Would I try this again? I might add a carbon filter but yes, absolutely I would do this again.

Taking a fairly lame Lenovo workstation and changing from an off-the-shelf AIO cooler and going hard with custom hard tube watercooling. This project started out with the idea to make a cheap Ebay watercooling kit awesome. Including my custom logo and RGB fittings. After only using the CPU waterblock, my plans for the next video are adding a thermoelectric cooler and Primochill Vue coolant.
